Accomplishments

There are times in our lives when we must give a big old "Congratulations" to those we love, and even to ourselves. So this is our time to shine, to brag, to fill you in.

First, we have adorable (yet angry) little P. As some of you know, little P has been a big fan of breastfeeding. I was beginning to worry that he would graduate from high school before he graduated from breastfeeding. But alas, I cut him off.

I have loved nursing, so now that I am done having kids, finishing up with little P has been sad for us both. But let's just face it. When the kid is trying to disrobe me in public, I think it's time to give breastfeeding the ax.

So congratulations little P! If you're old enough to drive your scooter in the snow, you're old enough to drink from a cup!

At the ripe old age of 5, little B has found his calling in life. He started Taekwondo in January and has been excelling like crazy ever since. He absolutely loves it.

This is a picture at his first meet, where he received two medals. The week after this he also became a fourth degree white belt and last week he had his first test and is now officially an orange belt.
Now for my little K. She has been one very busy little girl. First, she had to create her own Valentine box and it won Best Overall! She decided to make a "Love Bird." The valentines are put in the bird's mouth and then the bottom of the bird had a velcro door.

No, I never said anything to her about Love Bird bowel movements, or "what goes in must come out," or questioned if that chocolate she took out of the bird bottom was really a chocolate.

Second, little K had a choir program which was preempted by a rather large argument between the two of us. On one hand, K forbid me to record the program or take any pictures. On the other hand, I reminded her that I nearly died bringing her into this world and someday she will live far away and be completely annoyed by my every phone call, and I will sit all alone in my tiny, dark house and have nothing to do but watch really old recordings of little K.

Yes, this really was my argument. And I won. So I guess maybe this should be a "Congratulations" to me, instead of K.

Third, K's school is having a competition for the cover of the yearbook. We found out last week that little K's cover is a finalist. I have covered up the name of her school, but you can still see most of it. I taught her how to measure things to find the middle etc. but she did it all herself (she did trace the bird).

I don't know when she will find out the outcome, but no matter what it is, I think this cover is fantastic!

Finally, I would like to congratulate myself. Yes, that's right. Myself. I have some of the best friends around, and even though I have been banished to Eastern Idaho, my Boise friends are still hanging in there.

In Boise, I had the privilege to serve under the best Primary President in the world, Alisha. Alisha is, no joking, the craftiest person I know. Everything she does turns out perfect. Unfortunately, her blog is private, so none of you can check out all her amazing stuff. But periodically I will see something that she has done and comment about how much I love it. And lately, those comments get me a present within a few days! No, that was never my plan, but I sure do love it.

Alisha sent me a package last week with all kinds of goodies I loved, but this little gem brought me to tears. This is a pin cushion and jar with personalized pins. She had gone through my entire blog, printed pictures of everyone I love (even my great-grandma and step-father who both passed away) shrunk them and magically made them into pin tops. And since Alisha was one of the friends who introduced me to everything Twilight, there are also a few Twilight pins and other cute toppers. I was so shocked, I just started sobbing!

So congratulations to me, on having such a fantastic friend! Thanks again Alisha!

Can you believe all this work? Amazing!

It is weeks like last week that make me so thankful. It's not always the case, but right now, things are good. Really good. And I hope you are all doing just as well!

It's obvious you guys are doing great. Those pins are awesome.

I might not be able to make super cool customized pins, but I for one am glad that you are banished to Eastern Idaho. :)

I'm curious how old P is. I'm planning on nursing Myla forever! I love how happy B looks. That is awesome for him! And I love K's bird and that picture is classic! I can feel how embarrassed she is that you are taking the picture. I love your argument -I'm gonna have to use it someday! Glad things are going well!

I am blushing.....and don't know what to say. It wasn't THAT big of a deal, but I'm glad you like the pins. :)

I LOVE Little P's cute, angry face in the scooter picture. Classic.

Good job K and B. That's awesome!

I didn't know that she was so crafty! I doubt she remembers me but you could have her send something this way!

Wow! I want Alisha to be my friend too! Your kids look great and what a talented and creative little girl you have to design that box. I always love to read your take on things--your sense of humor always brings a smile to my face.
