Earwax and Bangs

Out here in the west it's time for the Hobo spiders to come inside for the fall. My family has a serious hatred for Hobo's, and it basically stems from the fact that they are HUUUUUUUGE!!!

This week, while staying at grandma's, the kids found a Hobo hanging out in a closet in the basement. For days, they watched this thing, terrified that it may spring from it's web and chew off their noses or something. They also found a few earwigs running around and K convinced B that earwigs are here on Earth solely to pinch you with their pinchers and climb in your ears when you sleep. Sadly, she was not being mean, this is just truly what she thinks they do.

So yesterday, after nearly a week of insect torture, B convinced me to go buy some spider glue traps. This is how the conversation went, "Mom, can we please, please, please go to the store and get some bug traps? That Hobo has HUUUUGE bangs (fangs) and the earwax (earwigs) are trying to crawl in my ears when I sleep!"

We bought two packs of traps, which will hopefully be just enough to save poor little B from all the bangs and earwax.
