More Beautiful Things

I am waaaaay behind in posting. SO many things are going on, so I need to prioritize. Please forgive me if things end up a little backwards over the next few days.

What's that you say? You're wondering about this lovely journal in the above picture? That's right folks, it's a joirnal.
Remember a long time ago when I posted a little thing about a homemade gift give away? Well this last week I sent all mine off. I can't post any pictures though because one person has not gotten hers yet (she decided to go be with her sister when she had a baby instead...whatever). But that's ok really, because I will just post pictures of the last two homemade gifts I received.
This journal is from my cousin Lorren. Isn't it fabulous? I took these pictures when I first got it, and it's a good thing because since then I have written in it. It's not only beautiful, but it's the perfect size to carry in my bag, so I do.
The last gift I wanted to talk about is this little gem from my sister Britta. It's a spectacular little bracelet that she made out of resin and copies of pages from my favorite childhood books. In fact the second circle from the left is a little note my grandmother Helen (who died when I was 13ish) wrote inside a book she gave me. Yes, I cried when I saw what Britta had done. I sent some of you a link to her Etsy shop today, but in case you missed it....give it a look: brittas.etsy.com.

So glad you were able to post! I've been missing you! In a very cyber-stalkish way, I might add.

I love the bracelet Britta made you. What a sweet idea to do childhood books. Very special! (Oh yeah, glad you liked the journal. :)

SO neat! This of course just confirms why I didn't sign up for any of this craftiness...just can't compete. I love what Britta made, that's awesome!

Homemade gifts??? I wanna come..I mean do..I mean join. Let me know if you do another exchange. I would love to take part. (That is if I'm invited.)

Cute stuff! I'm very intrigued with the bracelet. Did she color copy and reduce the images and then put the epoxy stuff on? I love that it's so sentimental. So sweet.

I know I am such a skank for never commenting. It took me forever just to get you added to the friend list. But don't get it twisted, I LAUGH at all your funny stuff. I always tell Kevin how funny you are.
