Rockwell
For the past 9 months or so we have been seeing doctors at Primary Children's Hospital to keep tabs on little P's hemangioma (lovingly named Rockwell) and make sure that it does not cause any damage to little P's right eye. This kind of hemangioma will usually grow until the child is one year old and then stop growing and slowly reabsorb over the next 5ish years. Rockwell, however, grew like crazy for the first few months, which worried all his doctors, but he has not visibly changed much since then.
Yesterday we had Rockwell's official measurement, and he has not gotten any bigger over the last 4 months. This confirmed what doctors had previously thought, that Rockwell had already hit his growth peak and is on his way out. Vinny and I have come to love little Rockwell and were hoping that we would be given a few more years to tell him goodbye (truthfully, we did not want little P to have to have surgery). So we are super pleased with the outcome!
We will go back to Primary Children's every year to have Rockwell checked out. If he is not shrinking, we can look into surgery again then. In the meantime, everything looks great...especially little P!

That picture of Little P is so cute. I can totally tell he's your baby, he looks just like you.
