No Diego No!

For months B has asked for only one thing for Christmas. I stupidly assumed that it would be easy to come by, so I waited until a week ago to buy it. It was no where to be found. I looked in every store, every online department, called all over the country, even Fisher Price itself. B stayed on track only asking for this one toy and of course asked Santa both times he saw him.

I began to panic.

Full of fear, I got on EBay and found the desired item. I bought it...for just over double what it was sold for in the store. Yes, it was excruciating to click "pay." Of course it was non-refundable, but why would I return it? Finally, my search was over.

Vinny and I sat up that night and complained about the theory of "supply and demand." If it had been any other of our children, we would have explained our way out of it, but it just so happened to be the only child who truly believed with every fiber of his being that Santa would come through and on Christmas morning B would be the proud owner of "Go Diego Go! Animal Rescue Railway. "

During my search for this item, I left my email address with Toys R Us in case it came back in stock. Guess what I got tonight? That's right, an email stating that just today, Diego's Animal Rescue Railway is back in stock, for half the price I paid for my non-refundable item.

Yes, I just threw up.

That totally sucks! But, just think what a great story it will make when he learns the truth about "santa" You will look like the best mom ever to him!

lol... oh dear. I hate the feeling of getting ripped off. But you are a good parent. Much nicer than perhaps I would have been. :)

oh NOOOOOOOO! Oh my, holy crap. Awful.
Oh wait, I have an idea, go to Toys R Us & buy it & YOU sell it for more than you paid, getting at least most of your money back! Do it!
Why does the fat jolly man in red get all the credit? Its a sham I tell you!

What an awesome mommy you are!!! Just think of how happy he'll be. Then, when he turns about 18, you can ask him for you money back... with interest!! :)
