All the King's Horses....

Vinny, Karia and my broom went to a "Daddy - Daughter" activity last weekend. They had a great time playing broom hockey with some of our friends from church. Sadly, however, my broom had a less than great time playing broom hockey. It came back in two pieces.

I have a really hard time parting with anything that may still work. Apparently for me, "If it ain't really, rEalLy, REALLY broke, don't fix it." So, luckily I was in possession of some red duct tape and quickly put it back together.

However, after a week of sweeping up play dough, old food, cookie sprinkles, glitter, and the usual daily dirt, my poor broom bit the dust (pun intended). This time forever. Bon Voyage, mon amour! You will be missed.

You are cracking me up trying to fix that broom. The first thing I thought of when I saw it was the Swiffer commercial and the broom singing "Baby Come Back".

Haha you crack me up! After 9 months of marriage we still don't own a broom...is that bad?

AH hahaha, you are so good trying to salvage the poor thing! But at least if fell victim during a sweet bonding of father & daughter... what a noble way to go out!

I have to tell my kids all the time if it is broken, it's garbage, throw it away...You're hilarious!

I hate having to spend my money on necessary household items like that. It's like a mattress--you buy one and you think, "This is it. I've spent the money. Done." Then, you discover it sags or your kids pee on it one too many times or something else happens.
Next time, you'll have to send them with some serious power--you know one of those brooms with the wooden handle that is about two feet wide?
