Five Important Things

I couldn't take it anymore. I felt like the horses were screaming at me, sheesh. So they are gone. Enter a much calmer background, this one is a little easier on the eyes.

I have so many things I want to post about, I don't even know where to start. Excuse the randomness...

First, we went to see the Hannah Montana movie last night. I was all prepared to be annoyed for two hours BUT I loved it! It was so great! Great moral, good acting, good music, and a really cute cowboy (once again I feel a little 'wrong' saying that about a 16ish actor). My only complaint....Miley's teeth. They make her talk weird, so I just can't get over them! I don't know what the problem is but I think she may need to find some orthodontist to the stars. Otherwise, great flick!Second, I have a new obsession. Don't panic, I will still find time to fit in my beloved Twilight, but I just really, really, really feel the need to be prepared for...whatever. The leaders of our church have stressed for years that we should have a year supply of food. Admittedly I have not been very diligent with this. Maybe it is the new president of our country (I can't even speak his name right now without getting grumpy) or maybe it is the fact that so many people I know are losing their jobs or maybe it is the fact that I am addicted to Fox News and therefore believe that the world is falling apart. Whatever the reason is, I feel so strongly that I must get this stuff in order.

My dad recommended that I read this book. It's called "Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse. " It's definitely dooms-dayish, but has some really good points. I guess to sum up my feelings on the matter, if something happens (be it natural disaster or total collapse) I'm not going to tell my children to go eat the flat screen, you know what I mean.

Third, in the last 3 weeks I have lost 21 pounds. I know Lorren, I have totally failed at this with blogging updates. I plan on talking more about this later, but just wanted to the world to know! This lovely pic was made by my SIL Shayla. I had once told her my secret addiction was that show "Becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader." So for my birthday this year she made me this from Face in Hole. Fourth, I miss my husband. Vinny posted on his blog last night about how busy he has been lately. He is such a good man and we miss him so much when he is not around. I know I don't talk much about Vinny, but he is so wonderful to us. Vinny has busted his rear our whole marriage to give us what we need. He is amazing, almost too amazing. He makes it so hard to be without him. Maybe he should try and be a little worse to us sometimes.Fifth, I am a brunette. No really, the blond is gond. It's pretty much the saddest thing in my life right now. I know I just talked about not having enough food for my children, but what I should really be worried about in a natural disaster is where can I get blond highlights? That would be a true disaster. You don't get a picture of that, cuz it makes me too sad. Thanks for reading!

Darn straight you've failed at keeping us informed of your weight loss success! I need to know these things! For one, I'm super nosey and for two, it's exciting to read! Seriously, congrats on 20 pounds! You've got to be so excited.

I once told Aaron I wanted to try out for the DCC. But after two children back to back my stomach would not pass the test for those little outfits. Oh well.

Sounds like you married a great guy. I'm thankful for mine every day.
