Twilight Happenings

A certain restaurant, which is my very favorite place to eat, just opened here. For Mother's Day, Vinny and the kids took me out to dinner there. As we walked to the car, guess what I saw! What a beauty. Parked right next to my "Watch out I drive like a Cullen" was an "I love Edward." I could not believe it. Even in all my recent travels I have NEVER seen another Twilight decal, and there it was, all snuggled up next to mine.

Of course I had to have a picture so I dug around in my bag looking for my camera which was sadly M.I.A. With my poor family all cold and tired in the car I hatched a plan. It went something like this: Drop the family off at the store for some last minute Mother's Day shopping then fly like a bat out of you-know-where back to my house, grab the camera and fly back to the restaurant--all the while praying that whomever owned the "I love Edward" car would still be pigging out inside the restaurant.

Well as you can see, the Twilight Gods were smiling on me. The "I Love Edward" car was still there, and so was an empty parking spot right next to it. Perfect.

Now for my last little Twilight trinket. It's nothing special...just an AUTOGRAPH from a Twilight star...ok, an extra, but still!! Vinny was working with a lady a few weeks ago who mentioned that she was in a little film called Twilight. Ever heard of it? To be exact, she was an extra in the cafeteria scene.

So Vinny, because he is the best husband in the world and supports me even in things he thinks are ridiculous, sent me a text to ask if I wanted an autograph or something (truthfully I think he was joking, but...yes, I wanted one). Of course the kids probably had me chained up in the basement or something because I didn't see it until the Twilight girl was gone.

After sobbing my eyes out, Vinny swore he'd get an autograph the next time he saw her...which happened to be yesterday. Lucky me, two wonderful Twilight happenings in just one little week!

You need a camera phone. I was totally against them at first, but now I can't imagine life without it. So great to snap a random picture when you're not expecting it.

You are your twilight obsessions make me laugh! I love it. I joked about how when reading the book ( I was very very pregnant) I would fall asleep, loose my spot, or just plain get bored or impatient and skip ahead til I thought I found an exciting part. Sad. I think I should re read it. I love it, don't get me wrong.

You are so funny! The students on the trip here love my Twilight pen, by the way. I told them to back off and get there own.
